In light of the recent Tumblr bullshit, I might have to start using this space more often. I'm already on my way out thanks to the censorship of LGBT content, not to mention I'm starting to feel uncomfortable expressing fandom-related opinions at the risk of inviting unwanted feedback. It's not like have extremely unpopular or problematic opinions, mind you, but still, it's starting to feel weird posting anything anymore.

I have no idea where to go, though. I wouldn't mind using this platform more often--I got my start on Deadjournal/Livejournal, so I'm actually very comfortable using sites like this--but I have no idea where to begin.

ughhhhh. Well Yahoo bought tumblr a few years ago right?? Cuz the ads started showing up shortly after iirc. But the article says Verizon bought tumblr now from Yahoo, so.. ugh.

Like, on one hand I'd consider leaving too, cuz I don't get on as much anymore, but at the same time, I like seeing art and stuff there, and all the memes and shit like that, soooo.. plus with some of my friends being on there, I'm hesitant to leave, but that could just be me.

It's the 'net neutrality' crap that worries me more than anything. Yahoo in general is reportedly corrupted, so I wouldn't really put it past them to do anything.

I'm not exactly leaving per se, but I'll probably try and be a little more active here. I still like looking at people's posts and art on the site, and no one's really going anywhere until/unless an alternative comes up, but it gets a little nerve wracking to try and post anything fandom-related without attracting rude comments. Which I have a knack for, apparently.
