pastryqueenI had a better day than I did yesterday. Still suffering from a bad headache but work was good! I can't believe how nice my department head Rozanne is sometimes. She gave me a belated Christmas gift, a Star Trek puzzle. :') She said she saw it and thought it suited me because she remembered I liked Star Trek. (I used to wear a Spock pin on my lanyard before the new dress code made us get rid of lanyards.) It was such a kind gesture, and it honestly made my whole month already.
Other than that, today has been mostly uneventful. I had to clean Ruby's space, which included throwing out a carpet. We tried a bigger one around her box (she's cage free and roams about, she sleeps in a big Kirkland box we got for her at Costco with her favorite blanket) and litter box for two weeks, but turns out, she decided peeing on that instead of peeing in her litter was a better option. (If you ever consider getting a bunny, heed my words: get a boy. Girls are so fucking messy, it's not even an exaggeration. They're very territorial.) I was forced to throw it out because we don't have a carpet cleaner, and I couldn't comfortably sit around her anymore. I then swept, mopped, and put down clean throw rugs. The air quality in the room instantly got better, and she seems to like the new rugs.I give it two days before she starts trying to chew on them.
I'm going to unwind with a hot shower later on and try to finish this audiobook before bed. Tomorrow I work 9AM-2PM, which isn't too bad. My older sister's birthday is on Friday (we're doing her birthday dinner on Saturday), so I'm going to try and pick something up for her on my break. I'm torn between getting her some beauty products like face masks and other self-care items, or a few nice tops and sweaters since a bunch of them just went clearance.
