Today I finally uninstalled World of Warcraft from my laptop. It felt like the right time to let go. I haven't played or paid a subscription in over a year anyway, and truth be told I wasn't happy with the story and gameplay direction for awhile. I miss my characters, and I'm always going to have ideas for them and revisit them, but they're not enough to sustain my interest.

I doubt I'm going to try another MMORPG. I made a few attempts at Final Fantasy, but I just cannot get into it. I feel bad because the majority of my mutuals, friends, and my brother are playing it, but games that require you to log on a regular basis to play just...stress me the fuck out anymore. Unless it's Animal Crossing, I don't want to feel as though I'm missing out on so much content if I don't feel like playing for awhile.

Nothing is worse than feeling like a hobby is a chore where you have to pump in a set amount of hours! It just feels like WORK! Bleh :( Glad you moved on to chiller, happier things!

That's exactly what it started feeling like, a part time job, except I was pouring my money into something without getting a lot of satisfaction. :( It's fine if you're enjoying a hobby, but not when it isn't making you happy anymore.

And thanks! I've played some chill games such as Animal Crossing and The Sims. Although with the latter, I've done a bit of storytelling with it, so it's technically work? But it's fun work.
